Duke University Has Made A Decision

This morning, mom received word from the Duke University Transplant Team that she is not a candidate for transplant. There was one test that we were not worried about that she did not pass, the MRI.

Evidently, she has had multiple strokes over the years, and they believe that they would do more harm to her than good. I am assuming that means that they believe that she would not make it through the surgery or the first year.

I wish I had more information, but this is what I know right now.

Please, please keep us in your prayers. This is quite a hard punch in the stomach...

For those of you that gave, the money will still be going to her medical bills for this evaluation, which was over $55,000 (before insurance). Please if anyone else would still be willing to give, they do live on a fixed income and could really use the help on these medical bills. I ask that you would consider giving for that purpose.
